Hey guys, a little change with this week’s newsletter. It’s podcast week, and normally, the episodes are only for paid subscribers. However, most of my content this month has been focused on my Cozy + Creative course, which is also only for paid subscribers. And there’s a few more weeks left of that. We have a lot of new friends to our community here at By Amy Clark, and I don’t want to not have anything for them until the end of March. So since this episode is just me and Leo, and not a guest, I thought I’d open it up for everyone. I hope you enjoy it, and have a wonderful week!
One of the things I love about conversations with my husband is that he helps me make sense out of the chaos. And boy, has there been a lot of chaos lately. A couple weeks ago, we sat down and talked about the craziness we’ve been seeing in the world, and especially how it impacts us as creatives. We also talk about ways we are trying to resist the chaos and tap back into our inner selves, so we can show up for our creativity, for ourselves, our relationships, and the world.
My favorite part of the conversation is when he talks about his Blessings Project, which I adore, and how all of us can impact each other in both positive and negative ways. He reminded me that there is never nothing we can do to make the world a better place (if the double negatives right there made sense to you, give yourself a high five), and there is no act that is too small to make a difference. I started the conversation feeling discouraged and heavy, and left feeling much lighter.
Personally, I shared about my new course that came out this month, a creative challenge I am enjoying, and learning to let go of the metrics and just enjoy the process. Never an easy thing for me, but I feel like I’m maybe starting to get the hang of it.
I think that’s about it, so without further ado, I present to you a half hour of me and Leo just trying to make sense of things and find a way forward. I hope it is as helpful to you as it was to me!
Love,
Amy
